Lee Sadd – Managing Director
I am the Managing Director of SAMS, and have been working here for over 10 years as both a trainer and advisor. I have a history of working in a number of sectors including schools, woodworking, healthcare, agriculture, and construction, all as a health and safety advisor.
I am fully qualified in and have trained many accredited training courses, from Health and Safety Awareness Level 1 to the NEBOSH General Certificate. I have also worked in small and large events as a safety officer and as a campsite manager.

Chris – Operations Director
Hi I’m Chris, the Operations Director here at SAMS. I have been with the company since 2016 and started my journey as a rookie safety advisor, then progressed to a H&S practitioner after completing my first NEBOSH Certificate. I followed that up by getting my NEBOSH Construction certificate and completing a variety of different construction related H&S qualifications.
In recent times I have my made my way up to Operations Director, which gives me responsibility over the day-to-day running of the business, including consultancy, training and general admin. Away from work I enjoy keeping fit and active by going to the gym and boxing. I am also kept busy by looking after my young family!

Nicola Waddell – Training Director
Hi I am Nicola the Training Director at SAMS I have been with SAMS since 2013. I started SAMS as an Admin assistance and have had various roles over the years, from Training Coordinator to being part of the Sales & Marketing team. My passion is defiantly within the training side of SAMS so was very keen to get back involved in the training part of the business when I became a director in 2023.
I am a mum of two boys, and I love spending my weekends being a football mum. I love socialising with family & friends, and most of all holidaying with my family.

Clint Gomeze – H&S Trainer & advisor
I’m a Health and Safety Adviser & trainer, assisting clients with their health and safety needs. This can include creating policies and procedures, developing and reviewing safe systems of work, and carrying out safety audits.
My role can also require me to provide guidance or review accident investigations, and when requested carrying out an independent investigation. I’m also a Health and Safety trainer, covering various subjects from manual handling and fire safety to providing accredited NEBOSH General and NEBOSH Construction training.
In my spare time I enjoy going to restaurants, comedy gigs and the theatre, and am currently learning to play the guitar. I also enjoy cycling, and would like to take up sea kayaking.

Alex Hawk – Compliance Director
Hi, my name is Alex. I am the compliance Director here at SAMS, having joined the company as a trainee assistant back in July 2014.
As part of the consultancy team, I spend most of my working time visiting sites, providing a wide range of H&S services: from completing fire risk assessments and helping clients achieve SSIP accreditations, to carrying out construction site inspections. I have recently started to deliver H&S training.
Away from work, you will typically find me out on long walks or woodland capers with our young border collie, or hacking my way around a good golf course. I am also a Cub Scout leader with a local pack, and always look forward to going on camping trips.

David McIntyre – Health & Safety Advisor
Hi, I’m David. I’m a Health and Safety Advisor at SAMS, I joined in September 2024.
I’ve got a background in live events, event catering and amusements, construction and demolition and law enforcement. I recently passed my NEBOSH certificate, I’m always looking for new challenges to undertake to broaden my knowledge. I hope to expand my consultancy role within SAMS in the future.
When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my wife and daughter and our two cocker spaniels. I love to socialise and spend time with family and friends and enjoy dining out and about whenever there’s an excuse to, alternatively you’ll find me in the garden with the BBQ lit, weather permitting!

Wayne Scorah – Operations Co-Ordinator
I’m Wayne, the newest member of the SAMS team, joining as the Operations Co-Ordinator in January 2026.
I have been delivering training since 2022 across a range of subjects including First Aid, Health & Safety, Construction, Fire Safety and Manual Handling. Alongside training, I support the smooth day-to-day running of operations, helping ensure both clients and colleagues receive a high standard of service.
Outside of work, I’m a husband and a proud dad to four children, two cats, and a dog. Other than my family, my main passion is football, particularly Man v Fat, a supportive football programme focused on men lowing weight and improving their health. Since joining at the start of 2022, I’ve lost 25% of my bodyweight and I’m still going, enjoying the positive impact it’s had both on and off the pitch.

Training
You would think that one-on-one training would cost a fortune and be time-consuming to organise. Well, it isn’t! Our one-on-one tutor led interactive online training goes at precisely the pace required by each individual. It provides an opportunity to go over the learning content as often as required so every employee gets the optimum learning experience that’ll be retained and applied to keep your business safe and compliant.
Risk Assessment
The backbone of modern health and safety legislation and organisational arrangements is based on risk assessments. Risk assessment is the process whereby hazards are identified on site. The likelihood of the hazard resulting in harm is then assessed for each of the hazards. The amount of risk can then be used to prioritise controls which will reduce the risk of injury.
Regular Audits
One of the key elements to successful health and safety management are regular audits. Audits can help gauge the effectiveness, validity and relevance of policies, performance, procedures and systems. Audits are a great tool in helping you reach your health and safety targets and aspirations.
